How does penis extension work?

The penis is longer than it looks. A significant portion lies inside the body, held in place by a ligament — the suspensor ligament. Penis enlargement makes use of this anatomical principle.

The most important thing first

  • The lengthening is based on cutting the ligament (ligamentotomy)
  • No incision on the penis itself — just a small access in the pubic area
  • Nerves, vessels and urethra remain completely untouched
  • Additional increase in circumference possible through the body's own fatty tissue

The anatomical principle

The suspensor ligament is a retaining ligament that fixes the penis to the pubic bone. It ensures that part of the penis shaft remains hidden inside the body - for some men this is several centimeters.

During a ligamentotomy, this ligament is specifically severed. This allows the inner part of the penis to be relocated to the outside. The skin layer is then adjusted using a so-called V-Y-plasty so that the increase in length remains permanently visible.

The principle is comparatively simple. The art lies in the precise execution - and in the experience of correctly assessing the anatomical conditions of each individual patient.

What happens during the procedure

Dr. Jethon works with a microinvasive technique. Access is via a small incision in the pubic area - there is no cut on the penis itself. This significantly reduces the risk of visible scarring.

This approach is used to reconstruct the internal ligaments so that more of the penile shaft becomes visible. The base of the penis, the erectile tissue, nerves, vessels and the urethra remain untouched throughout the entire procedure.

The procedure takes 60 to 90 minutes, is carried out on an outpatient basis under twilight sleep and does not require general anesthesia. Patients can leave the clinic on the same day.

Combination with autologous fat thickening

Many patients want not only more length but also more girth. This is achieved through autologous fat relining - the body's own fatty tissue is removed from a suitable location, prepared and injected evenly under the skin of the penis.

The advantage of this process: no foreign material is used. The fatty tissue integrates naturally and enables an even increase in volume of 2 to 3 cm in circumference. Lengthening and thickening can be combined in a single session.

What technology cannot do

No reputable surgeon promises unlimited results. The lengthening that can be achieved depends on how much of the penis shaft lies anatomically inside the body - this varies from person to person and is realistically assessed in the consultation.

The ligamentotomy does not change the erectile function or the sensitivity of the penis. It also does not enlarge the head of the penis - separate procedures are available for this if necessary.

Dr. Jethon's approach

Since 2006, Dr. Jethon has carried out over 6,000 penis enlargement procedures - an experience that is unparalleled in Europe. His surgical technique is described as the gold standard in the textbook by Krupp and Rennekampff.

This experience is reflected in the details: in the individual incision, the gentle tissue preparation and the ability to reliably estimate the realistic result for each patient before the procedure. Every procedure is personally carried out by Dr. Jethon performed — without an assistant doctor, without changing the surgeon.

Frequently asked questions

Will there be a visible scar?

The incision is in the pubic area and usually heals into a fine, barely visible line. There is no scar on the penis itself because there is no cutting there.

Does the penis get longer when erect?

The main effect is seen in the flaccid and stretched state. An increase in length can also occur in the erect state; this varies from person to person and will be discussed in the consultation.

Can autologous fat thickening be carried out without lengthening?

Yes. Lengthening and thickening are independent procedures that can be performed individually or in combination. What makes sense depends on your wishes and the initial anatomical situation.
